Why it happens
Gmail and Outlook won't take an email at face value any more. They check three records on your web address before they decide where to put it. Most small businesses have never set them up, and plenty of the ones that have got them half right, which can be worse than not having them at all.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC, in plain English
SPF lists who is allowed to send email using your name. DKIM puts a tamper-proof seal on each email so it can be proved it came from you. DMARC tells Gmail and Outlook what to do when something fails the first two, and reports back to you when somebody tries to send as you.
What we do about it
We set all three up properly on every account, then watch the DMARC reports and tighten the policy once we know nothing genuine is being caught. Scammers pretending to be your business get blocked, and your quotes turn up where they should.

The technical bit, done properly

Automatic forwarding to outside addresses is blocked, which is the first thing an attacker sets up when they get into a mailbox.

Sticking to Microsoft 365 means we can do one job well and keep the price low. On Managed 365 we look after Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint too, but the list on the right still applies.
Questions people ask
Do I own the email address?
Yes. The web address is registered in your name and the Microsoft account belongs to your business. If you leave, we'll hand everything over so your email keeps working.
What happens to my old Gmail or Hotmail?
You can keep it. We can forward anything sent to it into your new inbox, and for a one-off fee we'll bring your old emails across so it's all in one place.
I'm not very techy. Is that a problem?
Not at all. We do the setup, then get it working on your phone, tablet and computer with you. After that it's just email. There are simple guides if you want them, and if anything goes wrong you message us.
If you pay for the licence, who owns the account?
You do. The Microsoft account is set up in your business's name and we just cover the licence as part of your monthly price. If you ever leave, you add your own card to the account and your email carries on as normal.
My emails keep going to people's junk folders. Can you fix that?
Usually, yes. It's nearly always missing or half-finished SPF, DKIM and DMARC records on your web address. Ask for the free email health check and we'll tell you exactly what's wrong with yours, whether or not you end up buying anything.
Do you look after teams, not just one person?
Yes. Managed 365 covers firms with staff: starters and leavers, shared mailboxes, licences, security and help with Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. It starts at 5 people. Get in touch and we'll quote it.
What if I need more than email later?
Just ask. We can move you up to Business Basic or Business Standard at any time. Your email address, mailbox and everything in it stay exactly as they are.
Is there a contract?
Not unless you want one. Pay monthly and cancel any time, or pay for the year upfront and get two months free.
How do I pay?
By card through our secure Stripe payment page. Monthly plans are collected automatically each month, so there's nothing to remember. Yearly plans are paid once for the year. You can update your card or cancel any time from the subscription page.
How long does setup take?
Usually the same day you agree your web address. Getting it on your devices takes about 15 minutes.
